※ Jarasum
Jarasum Island is nestled on the Bukhangang River and is accessible by bridge. This natural tourist site features a riverside driving course around the island, Ewhawon Garden, and Jarasum Island Auto-Camping Site. Every year when the fall comes into full swing, the island hosts the Jarasum International Jazz Festival. During the winter season, the island gets even more crowded with the opening of the Jarasum Singing Winter Festival, making it full of exciting experiences to see and enjoy.
※ Nami island
A pivotal filming location of the Korean drama Winter Sonata, which went on to become hugely popular abroad and a key driver of hallyu (the Korean cultural “wave” throughout large parts of Asia), Nami Island can be accessed by boat. The boat fare is not included in the City Tour Bus fare. On the island, visitors will discover Metasequoia Road, Ginkgo Road, and Birch Road, all popular promenades with rejuvenating atmospheres. There are also various activities to enjoy, including bicycle riding, trains, and the Namiseom Zip Wire (zip line). Because it is part of Chuncheon, Nami Island can also be visited on a Chuncheon City Tour bus.
※ Petite France
Meaning “small France”, Petite France is a theme park featuring small European-style buildings surrounded by mountains and a lake. The village has a model house built like a traditional French house, as well as a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel Le Petit Prince. There are also various things to enjoy, including a traditional French hand puppet show, a Czech traditional puppet show, concerts, and magic shows. Petite France was also the filming location of Korean dramas such as Secret Garden and Beethoven Virus, as well as TV variety program Running Man. The village has become a must-see tourism destination for those visiting Gapyeong.
